Raspberries are May’s Superfood of the Month! These berries are nutrient dense, packing a lot of nutrition into a small fruit.

Raspberries are an excellent source of vitamin C, manganese, and fiber. They are also full of anthocyanins, pigments that provide antioxidant properties and have been found to have beneficial effects on cardiovascular health. Raspberries are low in calories and sodium and are fat-free.  When shopping for raspberries, choose a package with berries that are plump, dry, firm, well-shaped, and uniformly colored.
