Prostate cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer in men across the globe. Prostate cancer develops when cancer cells form in the tissues of the prostate. Relative to other types of cancer, prostate cancer is slow growing. Cell changes may begin ten, twenty, or even thirty years before a tumor reaches a size to cause symptoms.

Men should consult with their primary care providers regarding when to begin the screening process for prostate cancer. Depending on your demographic, you may need to begin screenings earlier than others. Some symptoms of prostate cancer include trouble passing urine, nagging pain in the back, hips, or pelvis, and a frequent urge to pass urine, especially at night.
